Do you have liability insurance and PAT certification?
Yes, all out equipment is PAT tested for safety and the band is fully insured to play live at your special event. Further information is available on request.
How long does your live performance last?
Generally a music set is between 40-60 mins long. We generally play live for 2-3 hours during an evening and we will agree a price with you based upon your specific requirements.
Do you provide background music during your live music intervals?
Yes - we play pre-recorded music through our PA system and will agree with you in advance the type of musical content which best suits your requirements.
What will you will wear at our event?
The band will always wear smart stage cloths. We will ensure we will blend in with your event and discuss any specific requirements with you as part of contract discussions.
How far do you travel?
We are based in the Bristol area but are prepared to travel to your special event. We anticipate that most of our work will be within 1 hour travel distance each way from Bristol. We would be happy to consider work outside this geography but the price negotiated will need to reflect the additional cost incurred.
Can we pick what songs you play?
Our play list is varied and covers rock, pop, disco and funk from the 60s through to date. So there is something for everyone to have a great time. We are happy to play your favourite songs from our play list and by prior agreement to learn that special wedding song for your first dance!
Would it be possible for one of our party to perform with the band?
Regretfully, our band insurance prevents us from agreeing to this. We can however, provide audio facilities to enable you to make party speeches.
Can we come and see you play before committing to booking?
We understand that you will want to be certain about our suitability before booking us. We have our song play list and audio and video recordings of the band playing our music on this website – these should help you to decide. By prior agreement, we would be happy for you to come along to see us at one of our rehearsals if you want some additional confidence that we are right for you.
How do I go about booking the band?
The first step is to get in touch with us either through the email link or by telephone - details of which are on the website. We will check our availability and get back to you within 48 hours to confirm our availability.
Will I need to sign a contract?
Yes you will. It is vital that your special day go’s ahead without any problems. The band being late or not showing would be unthinkable, so we have a contract which sets out obligations for both parties and key details such as date, time, venue, cost and all other information points. This will ensure we deliver exactly what you want at your special event.
Will I have to pay a deposit?
Yes - there is a 20% deposit payable within 7 days of your booking. This is fully refundable or rolled over to an alternative agreed date, if the event has to be cancelled due to Covid19. This is the only exception applied to refund of deposits. The remainder of the fee will need to be paid and cleared through our bank account 7 days prior to the performance date.
Is there a cancellation policy?
Yes there is – this will be made available to you as part of our formal contract. This policy will provide you and us with protection if one or other parties fail to fulfil contract obligations.
Why book Re-Release directly?
Most wedding bands will work through an entertainment agency. The price you pay for the band will typically have an additional 20% added to cover agency fees and will also include VAT. In simple terms you would pay substantially more for Re-Release through an agency.
Direct bookings with us avoid agency fees and you will pay no VAT as we are not VAT registered.
