What music do you play?
We play big, feel-good songs that fill dancefloors – rock, pop, disco, soul and funk from the 1960s right through to current chart hits. Think timeless classics, guilty pleasures, and proper party anthems.
Our setlist is designed to work for mixed age groups, so everyone from your uni friends to your auntie ends up dancing.
Can we choose the songs?
Absolutely. In fact we encourage you to pick your favourites from our setlist, and we’ll shape the evening around what you love. We’re also happy to learn one special song for your first dance (with enough notice).
If there are songs you really don’t want played, just tell us – it’s your day.
How long do you play for?
We usually provide 2 hours of live music across the night (more available on request). A typical evening includes 2 x 60-minute or 3 x 40-minute live sets.
We’ll agree the exact timings in advance with you and your venue so everything runs smoothly.
Do you provide background music between sets?
Yes – we keep the atmosphere going all night.
We play background music before the first set and during intervals through our PA system. We’re happy to agree a style or playlist in advance so it fits the vibe you want. If you book a DJ package, we’ll keep music flowing right through to the end of the night.
What will you will wear?
We dress smartly and appropriately for weddings and formal events.
If your event has a specific theme or dress code, just let us know – we’re happy to blend in with your style.
How far do you travel?
We’re based in the Bristol area and most of our work is within around an hour’s drive.
That said, we’re very happy to travel further – we’ll simply factor any additional travel costs into the quote.
Can we see you play before booking?
We understand it’s a big decision.
We have high-quality audio and video on the website so you can see exactly what we sound and look like live. Occasionally we have public performances – just ask and we’ll let you know if one is coming up. By prior agreement, we would be happy for you to come along to see us at one of our rehearsals if you want some additional confidence that we are right for you.
Can one of our guests sing or perform with you?
We’re afraid we can’t invite guests to perform with the band due to insurance restrictions.
However, we can provide microphones and audio facilities for speeches and announcements.
Do you have insurance and safety certificates?
Yes. All of our equipment is PAT tested and we carry full Public Liability Insurance. We can provide documentation to your venue if required.
How do we book you?
It’s simple:
- Get in touch via email or phone
- We confirm availability.
- We send over a booking agreement.
- Once the deposit is paid, your date is secured.
We aim to respond to enquiries within 48 hours – usually much sooner.
Do we need to sign a contract?
Yes – and that’s a good thing. The contract protects both you and us. It clearly sets out the date, timings, costs and key details including cancellation terms, so there are no surprises on the day.
We take a 20% deposit within 7 days of booking to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 7 days before the event, at the latest.
Why book Re-Release directly?
Many wedding bands work through agencies, which typically add around 20% to the price (plus VAT).
When you book us directly:
- You avoid agency fees
- You deal with the band personally
- You get better value
It’s more straightforward, more personal, and usually more affordable.
